The latest group of eight songs, "March 2022", are a compilation of rock, adult contemporary, Americana, pop rock, and reggae. I wanted to explore different styles.
Feelin Low is the first single off the debut album from Portland OR based rock band Despite Trying. Despite Trying combines elements of classic rock, blues, southern rock, and grunge into a one-of-a-kind sound. Feelin Low showcases these elements beautifully, blending together a rich blues-rock driven ambiance with soulful vocals and emotional guitar work. Reminiscent of other Pacific Northwest music favorites of the early nineties, Feelin Low offers a kind of nostalgia to rock fans that has been missing from the genre in recent years.
Soul artist Joy Xande looks to cool down the Toronto music scene with the formal release of ‘Just A Feeling’. Upon connecting with producer Greg MCGovern (as well as instrumentalists, Adam Connor & Steve Malison) Joy carried a jazzy tone reminiscent of the early 1960’s. While accompanied by a seductive saxophone over desirable soul organs, nubile percussion, and a voluptuous bass line, Joy Xande & The Business strikes with smooth adaptability, as a collective.
