Guest Biography:

SOPHIA DION

Whether she is performing live at the legendary Sundance Film Festival or taking the main stage at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show, alternative soul vocalist and musician, Sophia Dion has only just begun to tap into her true potential. The 16-year-old Utah native, now living in Los Angeles, appeared at Sundance to perform at the world premiere of the Emmy-nominated movie, Girl Rising. The film tells the stories of young girls subjected to child slavery and arranged marriages featured narration by stars like Alicia Keys, Selena Gomez, and Cate Blanchett.

With a sound inspired by the likes of Joss Stone and KT Tunstall, Sophia’s original music explores themes familiar to all teenagers: relationships with parents and friends, dealing with bullies, and moving away from those closest to you. She recorded her first EP, Run Child, Run, in 2016. It was produced by Adrianne “AG” Gonzalez, who has produced music heard on television shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Pretty Little Liars as well as the Vin Diesel movie, The Last Witch Hunter. In addition to performing live and preparing for a national tour in 2017, Sophia’s own music is being pitched for both television and film licensing.

Already notching up performances in cities like Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles, Sophia has made multiple appearances at NAMM, including a special opening show for well-known funk-rock band, Tower of Power. Even national music store chain, Guitar Center noticed Sophia, and invited her to appear in a special commercial the company shot as part of its social media marketing efforts. That video went on to amass more than 40-thousand views on YouTube.

When she isn’t working hard on her own music career, Sophia donates much of her time teaching instruments and music theory to young children. The classes offered through The Music Factory help cultivate an interest in music in children between the ages of four- and seven-years old. She also performs at benefits for Blue Star Connection, a Colorado-based non-profit that raises funds to purchase instruments for kids. All of this is in addition to her being a student at Orange County School of the Arts, which is one of the top three performing art schools in the United States. In her spare time, Sophia also enjoys relaxing at the beach, skiing, and hiking.

Sophia’s sponsors include AKG Acoustics, Bedell Guitars, Breedlove Guitars, G7th Capos, Capturing Couture, Digitech, Harman Audio, Journey Instruments, and Vocalist. Not only is Sophia the youngest artist to earn sponsorships with many of these companies, but several of them have also invited her to perform at trade shows to help demonstrate their products to attendees.

Guest Biography:

JO KRASEVICH

Jo learned to play guitar by ear, listening to Neil Young albums, and devouring her older brother’s record collection. She bought her first guitar from another girl when she was 16. As Jo tells it, “The girl needed the cash. I needed the guitar. Two years later I sold it for a plane ticket to Lake Louise. I had heard that Neil Young worked there. I wanted the whole experience.”

Born in Detroit to a French Canadian mother and a Yugoslavian father, Jo spent much of her youth traveling the world, soaking up the diverse characters and emotions that would go on to form her unique musical voice. She now calls Los Angeles home.

Her first album, Merry-Go-Round, is a carousel of euphoric and melancholic songs – at times deep, often dreamy, but always profoundly moving. Two great musicians accompany her on the album: Doug Pettitbone (Tracy Chapman, Jewel, Ray Lamontange, Lucinda Williams) and Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2).

Raw, understated, and from the heart, Jo is an astoundingly honest, ethereal singer in the tradition of Norah Jones and Elliott Smith. She touches that sacred spot in her audience – where unexpressed feelings and truths live – and sets those emotions free.

Guest Biography:

Michael Sage Hider graduated from the University of Cincinnati (OH) with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering. Having been in the Air Force ROTC Program, he was commissioned into the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. Hider was selected as part of a very elite group of engineers to participate in underground nuclear testing at the Nevada Test Site, performing tests which required the detonation of low yield atomic bombs.

After three years of active duty and some reserve time, he was Honorably Discharge from the Air Force with the rank of Captain

Hider entered the Seminary for a period of time where he delved into the matters of Theology, Philosophy, Psychology, Latin, and Greek. It was during this scrutiny that he conceived of the concept of shaping one’s life by what he calls Good Life Truths, an integral component of the discipline of possessing Enduring Peace of Mind, the greatest treasure in the world.

After leaving the Seminary, Hider enrolled into the Master of Arts Program at the University of Toledo (OH), where he majored in Philosophy with a strong minor in Psychology. From these studies evolved the technique he calls, “The Art of Thought Dwelling to Obtain and Maintain Enduring Peace of Mind.” Based on that effort, he was awarded an M.A. Degree in Philosophy with a strong minor in Psychology, graduating at the top of his class.

Seeking more personal freedom, he entered Law School at Santa Clara University (CA). He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree. After being a very successful trial attorney for eleven years, he ran for and was elected a California Superior Court Judge.

During his tenure as a California Superior Court Judge, he presided over a plethora of murder cases, medical malpractice cases, legal malpractice cases, large personal injury cases, multimillion dollar breach of contract suits, etc.

On several occasions, he was elected by his peers as Presiding Judge of the Court. He received numerous awards and honors including being selected as the 2010 Judicial Officer of the Year by the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association, an award he very much cherishes.

Outside the Court, Hider taught courses in science, philosophy, and/or law at Merced Community College, Chapman College, and the University of San Francisco Master’s Program.

It was during his tenure as a judge, and using many anecdotes from the courtroom that he authored his highly acclaimed book, “Spiritual Healing-Making Peace with Your Past,” now in its second printing by Tate Publishing.

After thirty years on the Bench, Hider recently retired and now spends his time as a sought-after motivational speaker promoting his book which sets forth the principle of “The Art of Thought Dwelling to Obtain and Maintain Enduring Peace of Mind.” Hider’s presentations and his book have assisted innumerable lost and troubled souls, those crushed by life’s vicissitudes, to obtain and maintain Enduring Peace of Mind. His book provides Healing Steps for those people who are agonizing over what that despicable person did to them, the stupid things they did for which they cannot forgive themselves, and what Fate did to them. He delights in receiving testimonials and thanks from people who, using his methodology, return from a state of pain to a state of total contentment, serenity, and Enduring Peace of Mind

Guest Biography:

Scott Werner was born with the gift of higher dimensional sight, which means that when he “tunes in” to someone, he would not only see them in the physical level but also “see” them on multi-dimensional levels.

Scott had two near death experiences when he was young. The first time was at the age of 13 and the other at the age of 20. Each time that he came back into consciousness, he returned with the inner knowing that his role in this life is to assist in the “healing of humanity,” and his “gifts” were enhanced to the degree that he intuitively sees the physical body.

In 1986, at the age of 29, Scott was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, with multiple lesions on his spine and brain. Even though he was working at one of the best Medical facilities in the United States, his was given only 3 months to live. Unsatisfied with that prognosis, he went home and prayed for guidance.

In a dream that night, he was told that he would “heal his own cancer.” He did just that by using parasite cleanses, changing his diet and releasing emotional blockage in his life. He began studying herbs, and there  properties. This started his extensive path into alternative healing methods. Using parasite cleanses, herbs, toning, nutritional support, and detoxing the body.
A Little History

Scott Werner received his Medical degree from Saint Louis University School of medicine in 1986, specializing as an OB/GYN and general practitioner for 14 years.

He practiced at Good Samaritan medical center in Phoenix Az. Scott was recognized in advanced laparoscopic laser surgery and Gynecological laser surgery. He later moved his successful medical practice to Utah and during his career he delivered over 2000 babies successfully. Scott used Alternative/complementary techniques and has seen thousands of patients.

Scott used herbs, homeopathic and energetic remedies and Chelation therapy in the improvement of health and wellness in “untreatable illnesses and dis-ease”. He relinquished his Medical license in Utah and Arizona and left traditional medicine in 2005 and opened an herb store in St. George Utah. Scott has lectured extensively to private and professional groups throughout the United States educating them about multiple healing modalities, and herbal products. He is very gifted, incredibly insightful, informative, animated and entertaining. He has lectured on many health subjects ranging from Parasites to virus and from nutritional support to healing energy blockages. He has thousands of clients all over the world, who have sought him out for his knowledge of these process’. He has also lectured many times for the annual conferences held through Systemic Formulas.

Scott truly believes and is of the opinion, that all “dis-ease” is a combination of too much toxicity and not enough nutrition in the body, coupled with emotions that deplete our health. He has a very spiritual understanding to the approach to wellness and has worked extensively with world class healer, Katherine Beck. He has learned many healing methods and techniques.
