While most people are celebrating the holidays, there are many people who are not. Victims and survivors of sexual abuse, incest and domestic violence often don’t get the help they need, and are often unaware of assistance available.
Reverend Candace Nadine Breen, Ph.D.is a survivor of sexual abuse and incest by her father. She recently wrote a book, After the Darkness, detailing her story and how she was able to overcome the nightmares. The purpose of the book is to help others and let them know they are not alone.
During the holidays, suicide rates run high.
