In 2007, Monica’s world turned upside down overnight. In an instant, she became a single mom, homeless with a baby; which in turn, became a complex seven-year litigation. It was one of Monica’s most vulnerable moments, but it was also the beginning of a life-changing journey that led her to launch Canadian Business Chicks, Women of Inspiration and The Nest Foundation. It was through this adversity that Monica was able to step into her power and strength as a woman. Her values – courage, confidence, commitment and integrity – as well as the love for her son, gave her the strength she needed to build a new life for her family.
