Wendy has a track record of over 30 years in the beauty industry. She co-founded make up brand Thin Lizzy, New Zealand’s number 1 Makeup brand in Pharmacy for 15 years.

After experiencing first-hand adverse reaction to environmental stress and aggressive actives in specialized skincare, not to mention the pile of  landfill waste it created, Wendy founded Corbin Rd in 2019.

A quiet road on the outskirts of Hawke’s Bay surrounded by rolling hills, busy birdlife and free-ranging animals, Corbin Road was an idyllic place to grow up. My sisters and I spent our days outside on the farm roaming in the sun and down by the creek. Back then, life was simple.

Fast forward 30 years or so and I was living the life many of us do; hectic work schedules, frantic days and social lives of moderate excess. I made it through, but my skin didn’t. I had joined the aging rat-race. My adult years were spent trying every skincare product that promised me the complexion of a cover model. And I don’t do things by halves. The result was irritated, inflamed and stressed skin that needed a break and the chance to breathe.

Corbin Rd. was born from the idea that we can do more with much less. I want us to approach beauty like the slow fashion movement; buy what you need, choose quality and create less waste. We’ve created a simplified skincare approach using clean beauty ingredients that are kind to your skin and kind to the planet. Our range is designed to achieve healthy, strong and radiant skin, no matter what your age.
