The Sports Doctor Guest, Johann Ilgenfritz May 14, 2025
CEO & Founder UK Health Radio Network

Johann Ilgenfritz attained his Master in Photography in Germany, working successfully as a
Fashion Photographer for almost 20 years in Hamburg and London. His life changed drastically in
2011 when he had a heart attack and six month later was diagnosed with cancer.
After unsuccessful Radio Therapy he was left to find other survival options—which he did. During
his search for a cure he turned to the internet, soon realising that there was no one central point
where you could turn to for reliable online heath information, regardless of what your health issues
are. He decided on creating just such a platform and launched UK Health Radio, still fighting
cancer at the time.

After overcoming cancer through nutritional and lifestyle changes, he earned the title “The Curator
of Health Expertise” from the press. His guiding principle is simple: “Good health is a choice.”
Initially, he saw cancer as the root of his illness but later realised it was merely a symptom of an
already unwell body. He understood that by addressing the underlying cause, he could transform the
outcome.

With this vision, UK Health Radio (https://ukhealthradio.com/) has embraced a clear mission: to
inspire and empower people to take responsibility for their own health. This does not mean taking
your health into your own hands, but to be part of the process of attaining and/or keeping your
health freedom. It is all about being informed, being empowered, taking action and being healthy!
UK Health Radio delivers information through 41 shows airing 24/7, reaching over 1.5 million very
dedicated listeners and is now also available on 11 podcast platforms worldwide.
In February of 2024, Johann created The Alkaline Collective Mastermind
(https://alkaline-collective.com/), a dedicated online community for those battling cancer, aiming to
prevent it, or striving to stop its recurrence. Designed for individuals who are committed to
becoming part of their healing journey, willing to put in the necessary work, hold themselves
accountable, and seek a comprehensive toolbox of resources. He focuses on elevating
consciousness across four dimensions:
IQ (Intellectual Quotient) – Understanding the science of health
EQ (Emotional Quotient) – Managing stress and emotional well-being
SQ (Spiritual Quotient) – Cultivating a deeper sense of purpose
PQ (Physical Quotient) – Creating a body environment that supports healing
In essence, the Alkaline Collective Mastermind is all about fostering an alkaline (pH) environment
at the cellular level in your body—an environment that is inhospitable to cancer growth and
promotes it’s eradication.

Johann is also the author of Reversing Cancer - You Caused It, You Can Reverse It: The Philosophy of RECNAC. The title is undeniably bold and may spark controversy—particularly the phrase “you
caused it.” Yet this statement is rooted in compelling evidence. Research shows that only 5% to
10% of cancers worldwide are linked to inherited genetic mutations, meaning that the vast majority
—90% to 95%—are influenced by our lifestyle choices, with nutrition and toxic overload standing
out as major contributors, as well as environmental factors. This book explores the empowering
philosophy that if our actions contribute to illness, they can also pave the way to health and healing.
Johann is a sought-after international speaker and a frequent guest on leading podcasts, where he
shares his powerful story of transformation and the science behind his approach to health. He has
been recognised with multiple awards, including the Winspiration® Award 2025, The Best You
Award for Best Up-and-Coming Inspirational Influencer (2019) and the Inspiration - Holistic
Therapist Business Award (2017).

He lives in London with his wife, Raphaela, and their two sons.
Through his work, Johann continues to educate, inspire, and empower people worldwide to take
charge of their health, make informed decisions, and embrace a life of vitality and wellness.
