they have but you know any recipes<br>what is an RV director Coon can you share more about the rise in RV travel in the last few years but I exploded the last couple years after covid lot of growth in the business I think what does the key to Dallas you know what people were wanting to still go out enjoy their lives a lot of the country shutdown honestly a lot of businesses things but I already parked for open and the reason why it's outdoors it's safe but it's a great time to spend time with your families when people had some time off of work the selection of Barbies with good weed brand some money to do a lot of Manufacturers couldn't get nothing but a bunch of different options for RV trailers you know why I know there's a fifth wheel there's 32 ft motor homes that are 42 ft homeowner home since you know what might have relatives at a 45 footer you know<br>about the different options and let's get into some you know what does it make sense to read purchase What's the ups and downs with all that because I know a lot of people are wondering do you say we brought Rental rent to own the last two years has grown up is going up there today we carry a pretty good Fleet of rentals in across the board and people that didn't know if they want to take the jump into jumping into spending the money on will there be a smaller travel trailer all the way up to a class a motor home did you some rest of the try it out to see if it's something that their families can enjoy their life in the lifestyle of it and with that are cells that helps heals as well but yeah we carry a shaver from a you know what is a 14 ft trailer all the way up to 45 ft motorhome this and it's kind of interesting to see that every segment over the last several years to grow significantly as people<br>across the border and he's been really good for us you know why it's not playing cuz you got to get off the plane and get your luggage get the rental car go to the hotel check-in and then you're exhausted so I know that isn't that Queen we've had I've had that happen to me that this past year and yeah it's been an interesting thing with lot of lot of staffing issues at hotels we've seen a lot of people think that it is now let's do the comparing on the long-term and one might want to purchase versus rent when people are just looking at hey it is just right for me what's the best recommendation you can make 4C<br>but who's looking at hate trying to figure out if this is right for me and then you know where is it become make sense to actually own as opposed to wrap I think that they are until it ran her own still feel it grew up with RV & camping with your family but we also get the new the newcomers that are and have always done Hotel traveling and then slice it or can we do want to try it out soon it out for maybe a weekend or two or whatever the child's their families and then and then look at that long-term parking out when your purchasing an RV we've obviously a have a big vehicle and those houses in vehicles do have problems from time to time so why do people need to understand if their vehicle has an issue how do they get it resolved you know whether to be a flat tire fuel pump or electrical thing how they handle that when they're out in the open road service technicians and service me a mobile mobile service companies will come around and do things<br>State we're going to we're going to get someone to help him out there are sodas we offer service contracts and a roadside assistance to help people with their shaded do have it by around on the side of the road you need to get that changed we have we offer mobile service it'll come on Ashley send roadside service to come out and change the tire for you get you back on the road they are back we offered you know throughout the state of Wisconsin to get mobile service technicians it'll come out the campgrounds and 66 units have campgrounds for customers and future or the past we didn't have as many of that doing on this many technicians were able to do that something as we grow our business to really focus and I'm trying to get that extra service outside of the sale is a bill to help people when they're on the road at the rent a campground the funniest you come up there camper we want to do the trying to get in the best of us we can't even take care of it there's a lot of that we do offer the extended service contract things like that Across the Nation have to travel across the nation<br>companies that offer roadside assistance around the country with our service contracts to get that part of the deal we will actually help find that that company for you to come to you which is better we try to help you as much as it Keith Inglis is the RV business perfect on it and all we know is an industry we need to get better at service across the board and I mean I think if he has anybody runs an RV dealership it's something we're always trying to cancel improve upon our dealerships along we're trying to expand their service facilities and every one of our dealerships that we own and in we look at it by a new dealership something to look forward to is a service Us will see you soon<br>welcome back to the show that is here to help you achieve your financial goals it's the saving with Steve show now here's your host Steve Sexton talk about the ins-and-outs of money pretty much everything others that are you having a happier healthy relationship with money like I said you get gas gifts review shows get the behind-the-scenes stuff with a lot of people love and with that let's jump right back into Adventure montier we have Tom Hammel he's the RV director to Auto and RV group you give us some great information about the RV industry we've been talking about the ins-and-outs of everything for getting her your rig fixed if you're having a problem on the road weather reading only the right thing but now let's talk about ranching costs associated with that car breaks down compared to airfare and things like that especially for staying at home with the same with the family and<br>do you know what when it comes to reading Tom how does it compare with travel so if you're you know you got a family of four what size motor home would you recommend for somebody with a family of four is a small Class C motorhome with wood handle a family of four without a problem is to get the bunk over the cabin that are over the cab you got the bed in the back so the small Class C anywhere from 24 ft to leave me rent out of 31 ft Class C motorhomes in the bill to get that the cost of that it's going to be under $15 a week where you but the cost is really significantly less when you really look at nowadays<br>an airplane you want to go versus are working around everything else is it seems to be all the more cost-effective I hope that answers your question little bit older kids but weird look at travel plans to go to the Grand Canyon and you don't work out I'll be safe out there so here we are on a flight there and back we're looking at more than $2,000 then you know a week in a hotel in a couple of rooms and $400 a night and then you got eating out three nights out 3 times a day for a week now you're looking at $5,000 where if we're looking at 31 ft motorhome have 1500 a week plus gas and then you buy your own food there's a Bath Savings there<br>you know and I didn't add in the rental car that we were going to have to pay for her so you know there's a big difference in cost there and if somebody's on a budget cuz you know what this is all about saving with Steve you know a class E license pretty much everybody has one of those in California and other states you don't have to have a special license for a 31 foot which means it was long as you pay attention while you're driving you should be okay but you can actually save a tremendous amount of money and if you're on a budget and I heard he's not a bad way to go through don't let me look them or 10 minutes it's a matter of the initial cost isn't anywhere near as much as I just replace the lawn and then staying Hotel like I said the big the big things also get the rental for a night there is cheaper than a hotel. So it's a worked-out the significance of line and hotels and everything else like that for sure<br>people don't have canceled all that kind of good stuff so I get it I get it I want I want to talk a little bit more about the financing if so if you're looking to purchase my understanding and obviously I love somebody credit is you could do 5 year loan 10-year loan 15-year loan is that correct done it 20 years that a lot of credit unions are getting a better rate than some of the banks unfortunately but the rates are still good through a lot of our bank that we use so you can take your things the average term be right now so 15 years it's looking like I said some of them someplace you can actually get rust off of your taxes to at the end<br>I'll be sleeping on the gas situation the states of it you know what I live in California I know a lot of people who have their RV and other states so they can avoid some of the taxes that go along with the RV so you want to look into that if you know what you know we're not going to tax advice but do you want to talk to your CPA about the best state to own an RV in and you might want to find a bit way to be some sort of a resident there or something like that I talk about these RV groups there's manufacturers that have associations for people have certain certain types of coaches could you talk a little bit about that cuz I thought there's a big Community out there that keeps growing and growing I was just in the last couple days for Forest Rivers got the Frog ruppersberger Owners Group next and the rally next week down in Elkhart Indiana for the strawberry people are involved in that which is kind of fun but the groups are fantastic<br>they're able to help each other with a family meeting you when they all get together the houses share stories and then I guess some people just have been part of it for a long time there's a family motor coach association which has been a big thing for a lot of big motor home is across the country have been involved with the Rally's that it's it's really kind of fun to see what they know but they're all these orders come together and it's just a big community of people sharing ideas with each other because it helps us understand what our consumers are looking for and the guys on the force to Resaca done this week they had a lot of great things to say about some stuff there any products for launching that are coming out on time do new products are coming out<br>what customers are looking for in the Arby's and they they're listening to them they're going to making the changes and it's helping us going to reach I wanted to make sure we had that talk to that we can add or what not still there is a huge thing right now a lot of State<br> what's the new thing with our being right now is it solar panels to build a lithium batteries the AGM batteries in it give you a longer life but still a huge right now and give your Wi-Fi boosters are big thing I just took a consumer's younger by her now or do you want a is coming down so that's what's important the younger group is now they have to have their mobile devices to connect it's the one connected once I get out because they were there all day clean do I need nature in the outdoor stuff we probably are there coming out all the new math a different fireplace stuff to take them all with somebody stole steals different things like that the Wi-Fi so there's a huge deal expand their camp and capabilities off-grid a little bit so if you had asked me if you go to a lot of it or the nation of our national parks aren't all electrified there's only so many sites that he's steady Campground State Park<br> I'm on the board of directors for the wrbj Wisconsin RV Dealers Association and we're trying to get Wisconsin to add more electrified sites to our state parks but look at that Park so backward solar comes in really big is looking better to hold a charge longer think like that it's so people can extend their trip seems really really cool anytime we're coming to the end here I just how can people get ahold of you at Coon Auto and RV group and you know start asking some questions see how are we sitting rent an RV or purchase an RV you know how can I go about doing that Tom email address is Tom.
