On The Level with JLouis Mills and guest Amy Weber

Though the word “beautiful” is the one most commonly used to describe Amy Weber, there is so much to her than meets the eye!  After years of hard work and study of her craft, Amy’s natural talent has brought success in an ever-growing number of arenas.

Amy’s latest venture involves burning up the music charts.  Her newest single “Dance of Life” featuring Superstar Sean Kingston which was released this month. She is also making plans to tour in 2014. The single is already garnering her International attention and accolades. She won the Akademia Award in the”Best Song”category as well as the HMMA award for “Best Dance Song.” Her previous single “Let it Rain” was released in 2012. The song shot up the Music Week Charts in the U.K., climbing to #6 in less than two weeks.  In the U.S., “Let it Rain” Landed on the Billboard Top 40 Charts.  Her prior hit single “Something Kinda Ooh” was named one of the top 100 Dance songs of 2010 alongside Lady Gaga and Ke$ha.  Amy has collaborated with Grammy winners Jackie Boyz,  The Klubjumpers, as well as Madonna’s personal DJ, the world famous Tracy Young.

But music is far from the only thing on Amy’s busy plate.  Her work as an actress on film and television sets served as an introduction to the art of producing, and she decided that one way to make certain that she could make her voice heard would be to create the stories she wanted to tell.

Amy is currently in post-production on her newest film which she is producing and also stars in, Step of Faith.

December 2012 brought the premiere of “Crossroad” – an edgy, faith-based feature film which Amy produced and co-stars in “Crossroad” has received 5 prestigious Dove Foundation Awards for its strong and inspiring message of redemption, forgiveness, and faith and has been picked up for theatrical and DVD releases.

“Good Samaritans” is Amy’s newest television project.  She serves as Executive Producer, Co-Creator and Host for this very special series placing ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances to see just how far they are willing to go to help their fellow man or woman. “Good Samaritans” was tapped by DISH Network as well as ABC to premiere as a “Special Edition”; and will be available for widespread distribution in 2014.

Amy is the proud creator of her own production company, Amy Weber Productions, through which she has produced and starred in “The Strangers”, travel series “Spa Adventures” and “In Da Cutz”, an entertainment magazine series in which she also appeared as the host.   Amy starred and served as an Associate Producer on “The Pumpkin Karver” and was Co-Producer of the foreign film, “What’s the Meaning of Love?”.

As she built her entertainment career, Amy found that she wanted to reach out to newcomers and help them avoid making the mistakes she saw others making so often around her.  She has written a book entitled “An Insider’s Guide to Making it in Show Business”, in which she shares her experiences as not only a successful actress, model, host and producer, but also from her prospective as the owner of a very successful model/commercial agency that she built and ran for 5 years (booking models on campaigns with Martin Scorsese and famed photographer David La Chapelle, to name a few).

Amy’s early television career highlights include the cult favorite “Porcelain Bidet” on the hit FX series “Son of the Beach”, as well as “Port Charles”, “CSI”, “Seventh Heaven”, “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” and “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.  As a direct result of her overwhelming popularity with fans, Amy was handpicked to star in the phenomenally popular WWE “Smackdown”, and is still recognized today for her uncanny ability to combine beauty, wit and athleticism.   On the “big screen”, Amy has appeared in films with Dylan McDermott, David Spade, Sean Penn, Whoopi Goldberg, Pauly Shore, Adam Corolla and Freddie Prinze, Jr.

She is also a popular host, and has been seen in a number of popular projects, including an exciting reality-based adventure series called “Getaway”, and USA Network’s hit series called “Tens”, a variety show centered around the beach, as well as specials, segments, and live events for a number of networks.

Amy was honored recently when asked to serve as a chair on the committee for “Red Light Children” (www.redlightchildren.org), a human rights non-profit organization aiming to end the demand for child slavery and exploitation.  This is an incredibly serious issue to which Amy is more than proud to lend her voice.

Amy was born in Peoria, Illinois and raised in the nearby small town of Mapleton. Just before her freshman year in high school, her family relocated to Ocala, Florida, where she was a varsity track and cross-country athlete as well as a member of her debate team and cheerleading squad.

Amy has always loved the outdoors. She raced motorcycles as a child and spent many hours with animals of all shapes and sizes.  “I have always brought home stray animals- everything from squirrels to wild rabbits to foxes and turtles,” she says “I thought I could save them all!”

After attending a year of college as a psychology major at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Amy grew restless and decided to quit school to move to Los Angeles, and become an actress.

Discovered shortly after she arrived in Southern California, Amy’s beauty and ability as a model immediately landed her numerous print ads and television commercials, including work for the Miller Brewing Company. Wrigley’s, Chrysler, 7-UP and Nestea. She continues to be a highly sought after model, gracing many national and international covers, and one of the most searched women on the internet.

Amy’s career and popularity continue to grow, and there is every reason to believe that we’ve only just begun to see the accomplishments and stardom she will achieve!
