Hi, my name is Rusty May and I'm a counselor, teacher & coach dedicated to non-violent communication and helping people find their true voice. Anger, frustration, guilt, shame & self doubt are emotions caused by negative thoughts about ourselves and others. Changing the way we think can change the way we feel and act towards ourselves and others.
My educational background is a Master's in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. I've worked as a counselor in grades K-14 for the past 6 years. I�m also a certified anger management, domestic violence & child endangerment facilitator and have been working with groups & individual clients for the past 3 years focusing on power & control, anger management and personal responsibility with themselves and those they love.
I also, host a daily web cast that teaches social skills in the elementary environment. I believe that we need to focus attention on the development of concrete social skills and coping strategies in the first 6 years of school, before puberty hits and changes the whole dynamic.
