' The European Union has said it has so far found no evidence
of the presence of bird flu in Romania.

A spokesman said tests on suspected cases had come back
negative, and experts were hopeful that further examination
would confirm this.

Romania culled thousands of birds amid fears of an outbreak of
the H5N1 virus, deadly to humans, after three ducks were found
dead in a remote village. '
