"The wise man looks not at the finger, but at the Moon to which it points.", (Author unknown or may be John Milton).

In the wee hours of the morning (April 24th) we will be entertained with a penumbral (partial) eclipse of the moon. For those interested you can find information on lunar eclipses at Mr. Eclipse  and specific times for viewing in your location at US Navel Observatory . During a lunar eclipse the Sun opposes the Moon and inhabitants of Earth are symbolically "smack dab" in the middle of energies that, at first glance, seem to be in opposition. Astrologers believe that human surface tension like the oceans are very much influenced by the moon. "Emotions run high"  during a lunar eclipse and knee jerk reactions are common; however there is as great a chance for enlightenment as there is for disorientation. By the light of this full moon we might choose to go outside in the moonlight and bask in the soft rays while we pray to our God/Goddess for enlightenment, or peer into the shadows imaging what lurks there, just waiting to spring. Then again, we may tune in to cyberspace and wade through the myriad of disinformation that awaits us at every click of the ‘mouse’. Disinformation threads of the present, as well as the past, attach to individual and 'global' consciousness and form invisible cobwebs that confuse the mind and dim the spirit. Even the celestial display of a lunar eclipse is not immune to being used as part of a disinformation campaign. On his 4th voyage Christopher Columbus used knowledge of a predicted lunar eclipse as a ploy to demonstrate to "hostile Jamaicans" his superior power. In a sense he turned the tide of hostility to one of acceptance and awe. And ‘tides’ of course are influenced by the passage of the moon. Was the ‘emotional tide’ of the Jamaicans influenced by the eclipse as well as Columbus’ silver moon tongue? The masterful stroke of chicanery by Columbus may also be at the foundation of the recent movie event (April 10, 2005) by the Discovery Channel "Yellow Stone Super Volcano".

What did we discover on the Discovery Channel? The movie did portray the cataclysmic devastation of a super volcano eruption stimulated by earthquakes but the bottom line was: ‘don’t trust the government to tell you the truth’. Now one might conclude that the Discovery Channel is on the side of truth. But this may not be the case. Even ‘Joe Six Pack’ (line from the movie) knows ‘not to trust the government’ so what was the purpose of this seemingly open discussion regarding the potential of an eruption at Yellow Stone? It could be that the masses are being directed to look at a non-event while the main attraction is taking place in space.

While Discovery Channel viewers were reeling from thoughts of being buried alive under tons of volcanic ash the government was busily brewing up another snow job for the gullible public. This time it came in the form of Opps, sorry folks but we accidentally sent out 5000 vials of Pandemic Flu to 18 countries around the world.  The purpose of this staged event was to instill fear among citizens of the US as a method getting the populace to accept a fascist form of government.  And of course the government's stated reasons for this stripping away of constitutional rights 'would be' to avoid the Mad Max scenario.   Are we on the verge of a Mad Max world?   It would seem so if you attend to the net hysteria, but if you view the logic of survival ("Cooperation=Survival") it becomes obvious that a "mentality of aggression" and trampling of morality and ethics is a guarantee for group extinction.

Although we can’t control the self serving antics of government bureaucrats (C2C 4/22/05), terrorists, or the eruptions of volcanoes , devastating earthquakes and Neptune's rage, we can take control of our personal thoughts and emotions (Qigong)  (Tai Chi). In this shared global   dream of a 3rd dimension we sometimes forget that we are made of ‘star stuff’ and that our existence is infinite.

With sunlight and storms we walk this path.
Through mountains and deserts we seek earthly tasks.

We linger awhile and then learn to laugh,
For we are the stars that made this path.

To passing youth and wisdom won
A toast to us, The Moon – The Sun

For those who would like to further investigate  the human potential  (Lao Tsu) we suggest a visit to the web site of Dr. Shelly Kaehr or listen to free radio archive shows on spiritual issues . For wit and wisdom, tour the playful web site of Lipstick Mystic   for "Astrology updates" and investigation into "your own psychic gifts". Remember that in the days ahead we need to maintain calm-passion and our sense of humor.

Wishing you a cool head and a warm heart,

Love From The Enchanted Forest
