Bernard Haisch, Ph.D.
Bernard Haisch, Ph.D., is an astrophysicist and author of over 130 scientific publications. He served as a scientific editor of the Astrophysical Journal for ten years, and was Principal Investigator on several NASA research projects.
After earning his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Haisch did postdoctoral research at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
His professional positions include Staff Scientist at the Lockheed Martin Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory; Deputy Director of the Center for Extreme Ultraviolet Astrophysics at the University of California, Berkeley; and Visiting Scientist at the Max-Planck-Institut fuer Extraterrestrische Physik in Garching, Germany. He was also Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Scientific Exploration.
Prior to his career in astrophysics, Haisch attended the Latin School of Indianapolis and the St. Meinrad Seminary as a student for the Catholic priesthood. The God Theory is his first solo book. Justine Warrington sauntered into the public eye in 2005 with the boundary and button-pushing role of "Ginny" in the Canadian feature film THE CABIN MOVIE, for which she was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress award. She is an alumni of Lyric and Gastown Actors Studio in Vancouver, BC and has worked with many of the industry's top professionals both on stage and screen. Her second feature film, VICE (2008) finds her playing opposite Hollywood's bad-boy Michael Madsen.
Her original stage play THE OBLIVION SERIES (in collaboration with the Los Angeles Women's Theater Project & the Hollywood Fringe Festival) celebrates it's American debut on the stage at the Stella Adler Theater in the summer of 2010.
Justine's work as a photographer began alongside Lincoln Clarkes (Heroines) for whom she was both photo assistant and model for over 5 years. She also assisted legendary rock photographer Karl Ferris (The Jimi Hendrix Experience) on the album cover shoot for Sweatshop Union's "United We Fall". Independently Justine works with emerging artists in music, film and interactive media. Her work has been published on various websites, and in paper and online magazines. Recent contributions include Cinefocus Canada (ARBOR ALMA for Bravo!Fact) , Ondah Media Inc. (Live Earth, Imagine), and Vancouver rock band The Pack A.D.
Her musical career has enjoyed radio play on shows such as Co-Op Radio, ThatRadio's "Liquid Lunch", IndieLove Radio's "The Lenny D Show", Inner Radio, CBC Radio 3 and SS Radio UK. She has collaborated with Blackliquid, the boys of FNDMNTL, Zufo, Public Trance Port, Ravi Persaud, The Gravity Wave, and Montgomery Warren. She also wrote an original song ("Defined") for THE CABIN MOVIE. She is a member of SOCAN.
Whether in front of or behind the camera, Justine remains committed to creating work that pushes boundaries and challenges her audience.
