"The official ceremony to mark the 40 year anniversary of the unification of Jerusalem was canceled, Wednesday afternoon, due to an unexpected storm. City residents told Ynet of torrential downpours and heavy hail – definitely not summer weather in Israel...."
For an idea of the possible biblical scope of what is unfolding in the region, check out the breaking news blurb there on the screencapture below from Haaretz.com. (Rome would send troops to Gaza if requested) and also the article about flooding in Jerusalem--

Tomorrow is Caesar Augustus' birthday in the 'Mayan Calendar' 260-day count (an extremely prophetic cycle which is alluded to in the biblical 1260-day count), meaning that what happens on or near May 17, 2007 has 'something to do' with the fact that Caesar Augustus existed, and exists. And still reigns in 'intra-dimensional' realms. (So too this fellow, born in the lifetime of Mr. Augustus--

I noticed this 'prophetic time cycle' last night, and started to put together a post about it, but left off because it is a hugely complicated (and hugely important) subject. But I remember wondering if something overtly involving ROME would happen as the day progressed, since tomorrow is the same as September 23, 63 B.C. in the prophetic 260-day count (755560 days separate the two dates)
Now, I know most people (especially new agers!) would prefer the whole Middle East conflict just go away, or that it remain right there in the Middle East, and oftentimes, that is what happens: Strife in the West Bank, Gaza or Jerusalem doesn't appear to have much of an effect on the average American.
Nevertheless, what is happening now is evidently a "Big ONE" that won't be minimized.
And the FLOODING in Jerusalem is evidently mentioned in the Book of Daniel prophecy about the "last days" when the Antichrist and Archangel Michael are fully engaged in a final 'battle' for people's souls, and people who choose life and love and truth, they get it, and people who choose death and selfishness and ignorance, they get it.
"Jerusalem...will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of trouble..."

"And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined..."

" nd with the arms of a flood shall they be overflowed from before him, and shall be broken..."
"Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of trouble such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time..."
