Sleep Disruption

DEAR GMS: For the past several weeks starting on April 6 I have awakened at 4 a.m. and am generally unable to go back to sleep. Upon sharing this oddity to several co-workers and friends they too are experiencing the same phenomenon. My intuitive feeling is this is related to geomagnetic conditions. During this time period there have been two moderate earthquakes (4.0 & 5.1)in southern California. Can you give me any insight into this?

DEAR DOUG: I believe your sense on geomagnetic phenomena is correct. The Earth’s magnetic field is now declining. It is now 10% less than it was 150 years ago when accurate records were began. The reason for the decline is open to wide speculation. My insights tell me that it is a prelude to a magnetic pole shift (see my The Future Map of the World for more on this). With a lower magnetic field strength, any increases, even momentary, can often be felt by Earth sensitives. Such increases are a result of solar flares or plate tectonic movement. People, who are sensitive to such fluctuations experience feelings of uneasiness, sleep depravation, migraine type headaches, electrical sensations along the spinal column, shoulders, arms or legs.
