: October's first blast of Winter hits the Inside Passage like a train
: Salt spray stings my nostrils
: Screaming winds toss salt-soaked sea spray towering above me
: Great gouts of green sea defy all puny man-built vessels to ply their
: waters while gulls' raucous cries send shivers down my spine as they
: wheel and spin and oh, so casually cruise through the cruel Northern
: winds that drive the tides surging, powerful, restless, relentless,
: onto the oily spikes of rocks
: Green foam sucks the life from the sand beneath my feet
: Snow flurries, now driving, now floating, swirling, eddying, cold yet
: gentle on my upturned face
: Shivering, freezing, exhilarated, exalted
: I am alive
Wow, I've been feeling energetically drained today and this lovely poem helped lift me up! I felt like I was transported to a beachside and I could practically smell the oceans healing salty spray. Thanks for the reinvigoration!
