Cold Sound Sensations

A foot out of the cabin
One into the night
Brings cracks to the lips
In this cold chilly white

All senses made alive
By the winds whistling round
Numbing fingers, blinding sight
Burning toes now snow bound

Each breath that I take
Sends my lungs all aflame
As I hack through this night
I’ll not tame
