Maurice Turmel holds a PhD degree in Counseling Psychology. He was a practicing therapist for nearly 25 years providing counseling, therapy and consulting services to individuals, groups and families.
Maurice (AKA Dr Moe) has led seminars in the areas of Creativity, Self-Development, Spiritual & Psychological Awareness, Self-Expression, Passion and Purpose and Grief & Loss.
He is the author of The Voice – A Metaphor for Personal Development, Parables for a Modern Age – Exploring Life, Love & Purpose, and Parables on Grief and Loss. He has been a guest on numerous regional television and radio talk shows in support of his publications and seminar series.
Dr Moe has been involved in Self-Help practices for over 40 years and has read in excess of 500 books on various personal and spiritual growth subjects. Today he is a writer, poet, speaker and soon to be Radio Host here on the BBS network.
In addition, Dr. Turmel is also a Performing Songwriter with 4 demo CDs to his credit. In both his writing and music creations, Dr. Turmel wants to demonstrate that creativity is everyone’s potential, having learned this lesson himself as an Academic / Professional turned Artist. “For some of us,” he acknowledges, “creativity comes along later in Life. But what an opportunity to give of oneself, and further define that Self as we grow older. What better legacy is there to pass on to our children and grandchildren, than ‘permission’ to create, to express that unique Self that is our gift from the Creator to be grown into our gift to the World.”
