Hello.
My name is Carmen Turner-Schott.
For
those interested in Astrology, I have Sun in Virgo, Virgo
Rising, and Moon in Aries.
I
consider myself a Christian Mystic and believe that God
blessed me with the gift of prophecy as it talks about
in the Book of Corinthians 12:4-11, “Now there are
varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are
varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are
varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires
them all in every one. To each is given the manifestation
of the Spirit for the common good. To one is given through
the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the
utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to
another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of
healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles,
to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish
between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues,
to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are
inspired by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to
each one individually as he wills.”
The
experiences that I had in the form of dreams, intuition
and insight led me to pursue a search for truth. I realized
that what I was traditionally taught could not explain
my spiritual experiences. After awakening in the middle
of the night with a glowing ball of yellow light in my
bedroom doorway, I began an in-depth search into all aspects
of religion and beliefs. I taught astrology to myself
at the age of 16 and studied in the School of Metaphysics:
Center of Light for three years obtaining my certificate
of completion in 1998. My goal is to use these tools to
help others find insight into themselves and into various
aspects of their lives. I want to share my knowledge and
experiences with others, while helping them utilize these
same tools for themselves. I began doing astrology consultations
at the age of 19 and develop my skills throughout that
time in the St. Louis, Missouri area. I built my clientele
through word of mouth at that time and my business began
to grow. I serve clients both internationally and nationally
and am contacted by clients from countries such as United
Kingdom, Kuwait, Turkey, Australia and Europe.
I
earned my Master of Social Work degree from Washington
University in St. Louis Missouri in 1999 and my Bachelor’s
degree in Psychology with a minor in religion and philosophy
from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1997.
I use to be an astrology consultant at Mystic Valley Bookstore
in St. Louis, Missouri until I moved to Ohio in 2006.
I recently became an astrology-spiritual consultant at
Angelic Whispers Holistic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio in
2008.
I
am a certified Reiki Master Teacher and also trained at
the Master level of the Sekhem-Seichim Reiki Energy Healing
System which is based on Egyptian and Traditional Reiki
symbols. I am formally trained on chakra systems, astrological
health related to the body, color therapy and various
healing techniques and modalities. The mind-body connection
is powerful and I enjoy providing clients with energy
healing sessions to help release emotional trauma, blockages
and to create better overall health. I am trained in the
Akashic Records and use this tool to enhance my astrological
counseling with others.
I
enjoy teaching a variety of classes in astrology such
as “Astrology: A Map of the Soul”, “Astrology
& Relationship Compatibility” and “Reiki
Classes”. I am available to teach a variety of classes
on dream interpretation, universal spiritual laws, numerology,
meditation and many other topics upon request.
I
am currently a columnist for Spirit Seeker Magazine in
St. Louis, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri. I used
to write for Promise Magazine in Cincinnati, Ohio and
the Natural Living Healthy Living Magazine in Dayton,
Ohio. I have published my first book in 2006 titled, “A
Deeper Look at the Sun Signs” which is now available
on amazon.com, borders.com and various online bookstores.
I am currently writing a book inspired by my article “The
Mysteries of the Eighth House” and the book is titled,
“Mysteries of the Eighth House: Phoenix Rising.
This book is dedicated to all my eighth house clients
and those who have contacted me and reached out to me
about their own personal eighth house journeys. This book
will describe the mystical eighth house and will be available
in 2009.
I
have been practicing astrological counseling for the past
14 years. I am a licensed clinical social worker who believes
that learning more about our astrological charts can lead
us to a greater knowledge of self and others. By obtaining
a client’s date of birth, exact time of birth and
place of birth I can erect what is called a “Natal
Chart”. I use my knowledge of astrology and my intuitive
abilities to analyze an individual’s personality.
Natal astrology is an extremely accurate tool that helps
me connect with clients in a deeper way. I use astrology
as a relationship guide and perform compatibility charts
for couples as well. I can help individuals’ understand
their attractions to others and help them learn from the
relationships that they have. I also create charts for
children and teens which can help parents gain a deeper
knowledge of their child’s gifts, strengths, emotional
nature and basic personality that helps with parenting
and nurturing children in the right direction.
Most
of my clinical experience has been with teenagers, children
and families. I have worked as a therapist within an adoption
preservation unit and in a youth service program with
runaway teens. I have worked for the Army and Air Force
Family Advocacy Programs providing outreach, teaching,
briefings and education on the treatment and prevention
of child abuse and domestic violence. I used to work as
an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention & Treatment Therapist
for the Air Force. Currently, I work as the Sexual Assault
Response Coordinator & Wingman Program Manager for
the Air Force.
My
mission is to help others who are searching for answers
on various spiritual issues. I am available to do group
parties, workshops and lectures on various spiritual topics
upon request.

I
founded the Astrological Self Awareness Center
in 2005 as a way to reach out to other through
the internet and to connect with individuals all over
the world. For the past 16 years, I have been providing
astrological counseling, practical counseling and life
coaching to individuals, teenagers, children and couples
using a variety of specialized techniques. I have been
studying astrology, religion and metaphysics since the
age of 16.
After
becoming a licensed clinical social worker and working
with individuals and families in many different capacities,
I realized that something was missing. I wanted to use
the spiritual tools and gifts that I had and that I knew
would help individuals heal themselves without years of
psychotherapy or medication. I wanted to broaden my training
and skills in many different disciplines to enable myself
to truly counsel my clients using the mind-body-spirit
connection. My main mission is to bring astrology into
the helping professions and increase its acceptance in
the mental health field as a educational tool.
